Samui nightlife ranks among the best of all of Thailand’s major travel destinations with only the Phuket nightlife and those of Bangkok and Pattaya to be of a larger size. The Samui nightlife spots consist of Samui beer bars, some regular Samui bars and a number of Samui discos. The real center of the Samui nightlife scene is in Chaweng beach where the majority of the Samui bars and clubs are located.

One of the nice places to go out at night and experience the Samui nightlife is at one if the open air bars which can be found in practically all Samui resort areas. Samui Discos

Samui discos are very popular with tourists visiting the island and the Green Mango is the most popular of all the Samui disco nightlife venues. The Green Mango disco in Chaweng Beach opens at around ten and the famous Samui nightlife spot closes in the early hours of the morning. DJ’s at the Samui discos play a variety of music with most clubs playing mostly top 40 music and lots of house and techno music.

There are Samui discos located elsewhere on Samui. Tourists staying in Lamai beach don’t have to travel to Chaweng beach to find a lively and fun Samui nightlife venue. Lamai beach has its very own famous Samui disco as the legendary Bauhaus is located in this part of the island.

Koh Samui Bars

There are also many excellent Samui bars that offer a variety of themes and music styles. If you prefer listening to Jamaica tunes then a visit to the Chaweng based Reggae pub is a must. This famous Samui nightlife venue is well known for its great staff and an awesome live band.

For those tourists that prefer visiting a Samui nightlife venue that offers live music then please do not worry as there are various nightlife establishments on Samui that do offer live music.

Samui Beach Pub

A great place to go for live music on Koh Samui is the secret garden located Samui Beach Pub. This Samui bar is a great place to go to at night as a large variety of musicians perform at this Samui nightlife venue. Both professional and amateur musicians can perform at the Samui Beach Pub and the atmosphere at this Samui bar is simply excellent.

Another benefit of this nightlife venue on Samui is that the location of the Samui Beach Pub is excellent. The Samui beach pub is situated at a beautiful beach and beach parties can often be found at this particular Samui beach.
